The journal aimed both at theoretical research and practical information Studii Juridice Universitare (University Legal Studies) was established in 2008, and in the course of the years had experienced many modifications of form and substance, each of them with a noble scope — the improvement of published volumes.
Thus, respecting the rigors of a scientific journal, established by the competent authorities, it was accepted to switch to the format of publishing two issues per year — No. 1 and No. 2, reserving the possibility of editing a special issue, either on the occasion of a significant scientific event or an international scientific project.
The journal went through several stages in terms of publishing. It was founded within the Faculty of Law, then it had been published together with the Doctoral School of Law, the respective amendment being dictated by the new legal framework — the adoption by the Parliament on 17.07.2014 of the Education Code of the Republic of Moldova, in force since 23.11.2014, as well as the Regulation on the organization of higher doctoral studies, cycle III, approved by Government Decision no. 1007 of 10.12.2014.
